More Rat Food

I've recently been taking photos of rat snacks.

I found Baby Bananas on sale, and I know ten rats who love bananas. Initially, I'd carefully peeled their wee bananas, and then, it dawned on my.... What's the fun in that???

Baby Bananas minimally prepared for my bananaholics.

Jimmy snagging herself some Nana.

Doctor perusing what's left.

Funner Food. a little salad with leftover crockpotted pork, not much of the pork is left. But, you can see Patches eyeing some pork.

Lily snagging the olive.

I went a little crazy with all of the pictures, but I do hope you enjoy.

  1. Fun!

My girls love bananas too. :)

That's a great idea to leave them in the peel. I hadn't thought of that. Will have to give it a try next time we have bananas.

    cheers,

    Mary

  2. It was so hard to peel those wee bananas, and it dawned on me that they love to peel anything and everything. I find it ridiculous that they peel corn kernels, peas, tomatoes, and cucumbers. But, I have to say that my favorite food item that they peel is pumpkin which has become a traditional Halloween rat treat at my home. So, I expect I shall be sharing photos of rats in a pumpkin come October.

You know, I bet you could cut a full-size banana with peel in place, and then, freeze the leftovers. Those would make awesome summer rat treats.

Mary, I hope your rats enjoy peeling their own bananas like mine do.
